Why is Instapundit so popular? When I started reading blogs it was among the first I stumbled on. Hell, it was hard not to. Still, after a few weeks I realised it wasn't very interesting. It was nothing but links, more links and one word comments. Heh? Indeed? That isn't writing. That isn't deserving of praise.

Don't get me wrong. If someone told me I could get millions of readers and earn thousands in advertising with one word comments I'd be asking where to sign. I wouldn't even ask in a full sentence. Sign? Where? There? Indeed.
